A little retrospective advice:
You're going to spend $50,000+ over the next 4 years and then realize, it's going to cost another $35,000 to make a Junior team when your kids turns 16. That is $85,000 between now and Juniors.
Then you'll pay another $10,000 a year to billet and expenses until they turn 20 and (maybe) get a D1 scholarship. That is now minimum of $125,000 total.
FYI- D1 hockey scholarships are not full-ride; you might get a half and save about $40,000 on 4 years of school.
That's at least an $85,000 loss on hockey.
Plus you travel out of state every other week from Thursday - Monday.
Maybe 2 kids playing T1 at the 2011 group will sniff the Pro's. And only 5% of T1 kids will actually earn that partial D1 scholarship, but your son will start school at 20 and graduate at 25. That is if you can keep the grades up high enough with the T1 travel schedule and missed school days.
Best of luck to you all!
